Hello Professor and fellow classmates!
I'm John Karimu, an international student from Sierra Leone, located in West Africa. I transferred from Montgomery College, Rockville, Maryland after completing my associates degree in business. I'm a junior now, majoring in finance with the investment track.
As you can see from my company name, I am a soccer fanatic! When I'm not playing or watching soccer, I'm researching stocks or trading stocks on simulation platforms.
Honestly, I don't know specifically what I want to get out of the class, but hope what ever we learn can be of great use in my future career (hopefully as a wall street trader) and personal interests.

ReplyDeleteHey man, how do you like SU so far? I am into stocks as well. In high school I used to watch the market at one point I had stocks in Exxon, REvlon, rite aid, and MadCatz(some xbox company). Have you invested in any stocks recently?
ReplyDeleteI love SU so far! Yes I have, but my investing of late has been mainly on a simulation platform website called updown.com. I've been practicing various techniques like hedging. So once i'm comfortable with this techniques I'll be investing with real money.
ReplyDeleteAs for my stock picks, I try 2 have different pools of stocks where ones are for long-term growth and ones for short-term gains.
Do you still invest?
